As a child growing up in Belize City, my grandmother would tell me this story about a man called Tata Duende to discourage me from going outside during the late night hours. This character is 3 feet tall, backward feet sometimes wearing animal skins, often carrying a machete and has only four fingers on each hand. Some folks call him the guardian angel of all animals, people of the forest and hidden treasures.

As I look back at my childhood out of all the stories, this specific story resonated with me. My songs are short but to the point. My style is on beat off beat. My pen is as sharp as a machete in the jungles of Central America. I will never waiver from my sole intent which is and will always be to create for the culture.
